Real Togetherness at Kissanpur

How will you define your meaning for Real Togetherness?

You may say that Real togetherness means having those selected people around you whom you love and care the most and in return they too care for you equally. But due to our busy schedule the meaning of real togetherness for us has only limited us to connect with each other via the social networks or calling each other once or twice a week.

We all have great memories from our past which have the best real togetherness moments captured in them but having the same time again is a dream that we a have but due to on or the other reasons our life restricts us from doing it. I remember my days of childhood when I and my three other friends Maria, Joel and Jessica used to spend hours in our college campus bunking lectures and enjoying the golden days of our life. Maria used to play Guitar very well and we used to sit in the garden facing each other and used to sing songs on the melodies payed by her. Then we used to remove our lunch boxes and every one of us used to eat a little from everyone's lunch box. We grew up in those days when there was no great advancement in technology so we didn't had smart phones with 5 Megapixels camera and hence taking a selfie was something what none of us knew. But we still used to take selfies of each other with the most loving and creative way drawing sketches of each other. And then in the evening we used to go to the famous tea stall outside our college, a cup of tea with some biscuits was something that we used to have in our own way by dipping the biscuits inside the tea and then waiting for the tea to cool down a little. And then all four of us used to return back to our homes on our bicycles. Those days were really awesome where all four of us were each other's life and each of us used to care about others equally.

Looking to our lives now, things have changed much compared to what it used to be a few years before. Everyone has their own life and have settled in different parts of the world and everyone has their own families to look after now. But after having a throwback to the past and replaying all the memories we had recorded in those days, I feel that I want to live in those days again where all four of us used to spend time in a natural surroundings. And to do that I would like to take everyone to Kissanpur where we can step out of the digital world we are living in today to a world of love, happiness and joy. Here is a video of Kissanpur made by Kissan where you can experience Real Togetherness with your loved ones.

Decision that changed everything

Sometimes we take some different decisions in our life that turns out to be the master key for our success in our future and gives our life a new start. Today I am here with another #SachchiAdvice story of my life advised to me by one of  my professional friend that changed many things for me and gave me a chance to live my life from a new start.

This was a time few years back when I moved from my job to my personal business. I had completed my Masters in Commerce and got a job as a marketing manager in a private firm. Being a student of commerce I was well aware about starting a new business and managing it.
After completing seven years of job in a private firm where I started as an assistant and ended as a Senior Marketing Manager, I decided to take a move and start my own business. I think this thing is common between many people in the same profession where they work in some company for a few years and get the experience to start their own business. I also started my business of imports and exports.

It was a little difficult for me in the start to set the business and make big profits, but being in the same profession for years had made me knew about it well before I started my business. I used to travel different places and find something new available there and get them in my business my buying those goods from there and selling them to other dealers. In the start I had to face loss when some products did not work in the market but then I used to manage them to sell them to local dealers in a discounted price.

At some point of my journey I even thought of leaving everything and getting back to my job but still I had some faith on myself which made me work very hard. A few years later success started coming to me and it made me work even much harder. After many ups and downs in my business I finally found it a little adjusted after three years. Now my company was known by many people on the same business and had gain a lot of respect from others as well. Slowly we expanded our business and started recruiting many new employees with us.

Moving to Mumbai #SachchiAdvice

It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.
-Tony Robbins
Decisions play a very important role in our lives. A life is a game with full of challenges and to win this games you need to take proper decisions at times to overcome those challenges and win this game called Life. Decisions which are taken by us should not be the ones which just help us getting out of a problem, but they should provide us that jump in our life which helps us successfully reach our destinies.

My life changing decision was leaving my home is Ahmedabad, Gujarat and coming to Mumbai in search for some work. There is always a trend for all those people living in villages to come to a city, and for people living in other cities of India to come to Mumbai or New Delhi or Bengaluru, and the people who stay in metropolitan cities have a dream of going to countries like the United States, England or European Countries. Same was for me, I had completed my Masters in Commerce from Ahmedabad in Gujarat and it was time for me to prove my abilities by getting a challenging job opportunity. I took a decision with the help of my dad where he advised me to work in an established company at Mumbai.

It was tough for a girl who has never visited Mumbai ever in her life to come here and stay, but when you have a Super Dad like my Father Mr. Dharmesh Patel, nothing is impossible. My dad came with me and stayed for two months with me so that I can feel comfortable in the city. Soon I caught up with the speed of this city and after 7 years today I am well settled in this city.

This decision was tough for me, but all I knew was that I had to face it to be successful in my life. Thanks to my family who always supported me for this. This was my #SachchiAdvice, thanks for reading. I would love if the readers share their life changing decisions in the comments section.

Transforming My Room into a Vintage Look

Source

We all love designing and decorating the place we stay at, we want to make it look the best place in the world. I also try different things with my room on the days when I have holidays, it gives me a different pleasure and a feeling of happiness whenever I decorate my room. Now I have a dream to transform my room into a vintage look and design it the way it appears to me in my dreams.

The first thing to do is decide on a theme for your home interior.
It is better to avoid the wild-looking mix ’n’ match effect if you are not an expert. It’s risky, for instance, to randomly mix ’50s chic with ’60s pop and ’70s decadence. Usually, it’s better to choose one era and style which is inspiring to you.  If you really want to try different moods and looks, change the inspiration from room to room.

Focal point

Every room should have retro furniture or something that immediately catches the eye and instantly sets the mood. For example:
For a ’60s sitting room, a floral print armchair or a wooden coffee table with a brightly coloured old telephone on it, or a few classic vinyl records resting by the fireplace.

Lighting design

The main characteristic of vintage lighting is warmth, for nostalgic charm. Instead of one bright light, have several light sources at varying heights to provide ambiance. If you have one, don’t forget that a chandelier itself is a highly distinctive piece of furniture.

‘Bright’ names to seek out

You might not be able to invest in an authentic original, but have a look at classic lamps from key periods then hunt out similar designs in your nearest charity shops. Let's start with the 1950s: elegant chrome-plated steel lamps by Alvar Aalto or metallic lamps by Serge Mouille. The 60s: classic arc floor lamps based on the Arco lamp, or the Tolomeo and Falkland styles. The 70s: simple table and floor lamps, adjustable styles like the Ipotenusa and Parentesi, designed by Achille Castiglioni.

Memories as art

Put together combinations of your ‘memorabilia’ and retro items – this creates an easy and inexpensive design feature and allows you to mix and match a little. Simply fix shelves to the wall that vary in color and thickness, then, just as you would see in an old shop, arrange tin boxes, antique knick knacks, an old teapot etc on the shelves. Be guided by whatever reflects your own style. The important thing is to use this unexpected display to create a feast for the eyes.

Unbelievable Speed #Airtel4G

Internet has now become a very important part of our life. Today it is impossible to survive even for a few minutes without an internet connection. Tweets, chats, status updates, likes, shares, comments, selfies and lots are more are something that bring small packets of happiness in our lives whenever they pop on our mobile's notification bar, and of course the only reason behind this happiness is the internet.

If I take my example, the first thing that clicks in my mind when I wake up in the morning is to turn the mobile data on. No day starts for me until I don't wish Good Morning to my loved ones and I can't get a sound sleep at night until I finish talking to my parents via a video call. Internet is one of the very special gifts gifted to us by the developing technology. No matter in whichever part of the world you reside, the only thing that will connect you to another other place in the world is internet.

Even Internet has its own history, starting from the 90's till today it has developed on a very vast scale. My elder cousins shared with me about their experiences of using the internet in the earlier days of their life, for them sending a mail successfully was equal to downloading a video from the internet nowadays. Internet became a lifeline for all of us after it was introduced to the mobile phones, and soon with the passing time it developed from 2G to 3G and today we have the 4G services available in our country.

Those were the days a few years ago when we used to use 2G, the 2G services at that time gave maximum speed of 15-25 Kilobytes per Second which hardly used to download songs for us. Then came the 3G services which made a phenomenal change in the internet speeds taking it to 500- 1000 Kilobytes per second. And today we have Airtel who have launched the 4G services in India. The 4G services give provide you with a speed in Megabytes per second which is something that we don't get even from the cable internet connection installed on our computers.

Airtel 4G is be the first telecom service to roll out 4G services in India and it will be available in 296 cities. And the best part of it is that the 4G service will be available at the same cost that we pay for the 3G services. Here are a few things I would love to do with the Airtel 4G services:

·        Video calling with my parents without lags and distortion.
·        No overnight movie downloads.
·        Stream live cricket match anywhere.
·        Watch my favorite TV shows anytime and anywhere on YouTube.

This was all that I would do, check out this video about the Airtel 4G service and share your plans with this unbelievable speed in the comments box given below.

My Way of Loving my Home.

"Home is the heart of life...
Home is where we feel at ease, where we belong,
where we can create surroundings that reflect our tastes and pleasures...
Making a home is a form of creativity open to everyone."
 - Terence Conran

A Home is a place where we start from. With some loving care it wishes us Goodbye when we move out of it and all its affection and memories makes us rush towards it at the time we are returning back from work. We in return share our emotions by decorating it with love every now and then to make it look more beautiful than yesterday. I too love decorating my home to make it look more beautiful on every new day. Here is my way of decorating my home to make it look more beautiful than yesterday:

Defining your style.

Just as your wardrobe reveals whether you are spontaneous, daring or detail-oriented, your home is also a reflection of your personality. It is crucial to visualize the style you want for your home. If you like warm, cozy spaces, then you might prefer traditional or rustic furnishings: brass lamps, cushy sofas and deep-pile carpets. Other styles to consider are classic, modern, rustic and eclectic.

Choose the “main element.”

In each room, you need to choose a main element to serve as the focal point for the decor. Will it be the color palette or the fabrics? The furniture? Or will the architecture of the house take center stage? Choosing just one element clarifies your options; otherwise, the infinite design possibilities can be overwhelming.

Color palette

The next step is selecting the color palette that best matches the style you have chosen. Experts recommend the use of nontraditional colors; don’t just fall back on the ordinary. Take into account that the color you choose, whether warm or cool, should complement your main element.

Playing with the design

Make a diagram of your house and place the fabric samples and the palette, and then add cutouts of furniture for each room you are going to decorate. Experts say that this is a good time to incorporate your favorite objects: heirlooms, that beloved armoire, your favorite paintings, photographs or travel souvenirs. You can also add any ideas from design magazines to achieve a home that will inspire you.

Create a final version

Many different ideas will appeal to you, so you need to follow a simple rule: if you prefer neutral colors for the walls, then you will have more scope for creativity or audacity with the furniture. But if you choose warm colors for the walls, then your choice of furniture is more limited, since the overall look must harmonize and not clash.

The Castle of My Dreams #ColgateMagicalStories

"Your Imagination is your preview of Life's coming attractions"
-Albert Einstein

Creativity and imaginations are things that can take you anywhere you want. And when things come to imagination, there is nothing so creative in this world that can't be imagined by children. Children have a their own worlds of imaginations, from the stories they listen, from the cartoon shows they watch, etc. where the live with happiness and joy.

Here is an imaginative story of magical castle by my daughter Asmita,

I gave her packs of Colgate and she created a short story which was narrated by her in the form of a short poem written by me.

The Castle of My Dreams

It was a dark night,
I was sleeping holding my pillows tight,
When I dreamed about my magical castle.

Between a forest dense green,
Covered with trees long and thin,
Animals and birds lived without any hassle.

Colored with shiny gold,
My castle look bold,
Ruled by a King who loved kids.

The King was Handsome,
The King was Strong,
Who fulfilled every child's needs.

A beautiful Queen,
A brave Prince,
A charming Princess,
Completed the Royal Family.

One day, when everyone was happy,
There came a Witch,
Little Ugly, Little Crappy.

She saw the Princess and was jealous of her beauty,
She gave her a creamy cake which was tasty and fruity.

After eating the cake,
 The princess fainted,
The witch was happy,
Because it was all she wanted.

She kidnapped away the princess,
But a knight saw her on the way.
The Knight tried to fight with her,
But she defeated and ran away.

The injured Knight told this to the King,
The sky turned grey and the birds stopped to sing.

The prince was sad,
And the king started to cry,
The King pointed his magical stick up towards the sky.

The kingdom was magical,
was something that the witch was not aware.
The witch burnt into fire,
And the King saved the Princess with care.

The witch turned into ash,
and all the evil disappeared.
Happiness, fun and joy was all what reappeared.

And finally all started living happily,
In my magical castle of dreams.

If you liked my daughter's video, then here are few more lovely stories by Colgate in the playlist given below. Do have a look at it, you will love it for sure.
